On 6-5-07 at approximately 1251am, Bridgewater Police
received a 9-1-1 call of a coyote inside a home. When Police arrived at
the residence, which is in the Finderne section of town, the coyote had already
exited the home. Police discovered that the animal had entered the home
via a propped open door attempting to attack the homeowners cat. There was
no attempt to attack a human. However, with the recent coyote attacks in
Middletown, the Bridgewater Police would like everyone to be aware that there
are coyotes in the area. Although coyotes are normally non-threatening to
humans, extra precautions should be taken with pets kept outside. |
