Mischief – March 1, 2009 @ 0013 hours, an
employee of Houlihan’s reported that the windshield on their Mini Cooper was
smashed with a rock while they were at work.
Criminal
Mischief – March 1, 2009 @ 0039 hours, a
resident of Newark reported all four tires on their 2006 Nissan Altima were
slashed while it was parked on Brahma Avenue
DWI Arrest – March 1, 2009 @ 1744 hours, Raymond A.
Villiers, 44, Hillsborough, NJ was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle
crash on Route 202/206 South. Villiers was charged with DWI, refusal to submit
breath samples and reckless driving.
Criminal
Mischief – March 2, 2009 @ 1138 hours, a
resident of Brahma Avenue reported a tire on their 2008 Chrysler Town and
Country was slashed while it was parked on Brahma Avenue.
Theft – March 3, 2009 @ 1346 hours, an employee of
Somerset County Transportation reported the theft of two batteries from a bus
parked at the People Care Center on Finderne Avenue.
Theft – March 3, 2009 @ 1657 hours, Timothy
Higginbotham, 20, Piscataway, NJ was arrested for theft at Costco.
Higginbotham, who was employed by Costco, was observed by a security officer
wearing a shirt he had removed from a display table. The shirt, valued at $27,
was returned to Costco and Higginbotham was arrested and served with a complaint
summons.
Drug
Arrest – March 6, 2009 @ 2142 hours, Andrew N.
Philephs, 19, Somerville, NJ was arrested for possession of less than 50 grams
of marijuana at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. A security guard from the mall
told the arresting officer he came upon Philephs while he was smoking a
marijuana cigarette. Philephs was charged with possession of under 50 grams of
marijuana and released.
Hindering
Apprehension Arrest – March 6, 2009 @ 2305
hours, Juan Carlos Mora, 33, Somerville, NJ was arrested for hindering
apprehension during a traffic stop on East Main Street. Mora was arrested after
it was determined he had provided his brother’s name because he had no license.
Mora was charged with hindering apprehension, failure to maintain lamps and
being an unlicensed driver.
Shoplifting
Arrest – March 7, 2009 @ 1723 hours, two
15 year old girls from Flemington were arrested for shoplifting a $148
sweatshirt from Bloomingdales.
Burglary/Theft
– March 7, 2009 @ 1833 hours, a
Hillsborough resident reported a burglary and theft from their 2004 Mercury
while it was parked outside of Marshalls. The victim reported they were
uncertain if the vehicle was locked. The only thing stolen was a briefcase that
contained paperwork and a $100 cash.
Shoplifting
Arrest – March 7, 2009 @ 1935 hours,
Michael Felz, 19, Woodcliff Lake, NJ was arrested for shoplifting at Spencer’s
Gifts. A store employee observed Felz open a pack of “Bluemouth” gum and place
a stick of the gum in his mouth. Felz was charged with shoplifting by the
employee of Spencer’s Gifts and released.

Mischief – March 7, 2009 @ 2301 hours, a
resident of Manville reported the windshield on their 1999 Mercury Sable was
smashed while it was parked at Houlihans.
Arrest-
Being under the Influence of Narcotics – March
8, 2009 @ 0418 hours, Melissa Devine, 23, Flemington, NJ was arrested for being
under the influence of narcotics at a residence in the Cross Roads. The
arresting officer responded to the residence on the report of an unresponsive
person who was having difficulty breathing. Investigation revealed Devine was
under the influence of a narcotic. She was transported to Somerset Medical
Center by Green Knoll Rescue Squad after receiving treatment from paramedics
from the hospital.
Theft – March 8, 2009 @ 0838 hours, a resident of Old
York Road reported the theft of a Kawasaki KSF400 ATV from their residence. The
victim reported the ATV was valued at $3,500.
Drug
Possession/Hindering Apprehension – March 10,
2009 @ 0938 hours, Anita Thompson, 43, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for
possession of marijuana and hindering apprehension at police headquarters.
Thompson was found in possession of a burnt marijuana cigarette in municipal
court. She was charged with hindering apprehension after she tried to grab the
marijuana cigarette from the arresting officer. Thompson was released after
being processed.
Drug
Arrest – March 11, 2009 @ 0051 hours, William H.
Holden 4th, 18, Bridgewater, NJ and Derek Rivera, 19, Bridgewater, NJ
were arrested for possession of marijuana on Bridgewater Avenue. Holden and
Rivera were arrested after a Somerville police officer checked a suspicious
vehicle parked on Bridgewater Avenue and found the two were in possession of
marijuana. They both were charged with possession of CDS under 50 grams and
released.
Theft – March 12, 2009 @ 1553 hours, an employee of
Hanna Andersson located in the Bridgewater Commons Mall reported 15 to 20
children’s shirts valued at $400 were stolen.
Shoplifting
Arrest – March 12, 2009 1617 hours, Aaron
B. Goodwin, 23, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for shoplifting a $120 faucet from
Home Depot 400 Promenade Blvd. Goodwin was turned over to Hillsborough PD in
lieu of $1,500 bail for a contempt of court warrant.
Burglary/Theft
– March 12, 2009 @ 1700 hours, a
Bridgewater resident reported their vehicle was burglarized while it was parked
at Kinder Kastle on Route 28. The victim told the investigating officer the
suspect entered their unlocked vehicle and stole $560 from a wallet left in the
vehicle.
DWI Arrest – March 12, 2009 @ 2345
hours, Leonetty Salazar, 34, Bound Brook, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22
East. Salazar was charged with DWI, driving while suspended and failure to
maintain a lane. She was released after posting $500 for an active contempt of
court warrant out of Fanwood.
Theft/Fraudulent
Use of a Credit Card – March 13, 2009
@ 0813 hours, a resident of Somerville came to police headquarters and reported
their wallet was stolen while they dined at TGI Fridays. The victim also
reported a credit card that was in their wallet was used to purchase a $2,000
laptop at The Apple Store located in the Bridgewater Common Mall. A second
credit card was used to purchase a $2,000 laptop and $350 digital camera at Best
Buy located on Commons Way.
Theft/Fraudulent
Use of a Credit Card – March 13, 2009
@ 1800 hours, a resident of Raritan Borough came to police headquarters and
reported the theft of their wallet. The victim told the investigating officer
they thought their wallet was stolen while they shopped in Bridgewater. The
victim learned while cancelling a credit card the card had been used to make a
purchase at Best Buy on Commons Way. The victim also learned a second credit
card had been used at the same Best Buy.

Arrest – March 13, 2009 @1854 hours, a 16
year old girl from Branchburg was arrested for stealing $45 worth of merchandise
from Claires.
DWI Arrest – March 14, 2009 @ 0148
hours, Linda C. Poore, 47, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for DWI at the Somerset
Shopping Center. Poore was charged with DWI, Careless Driving and Obstructing
Traffic.
DWI Arrest – March 14, 2009 @ 0234
hours, Michael Hwang, 33, Hackensack, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 East.
Hwang was charged with DWI and speeding.

Arrest – March 14, 2009 @ 1732 hours, a 17
year old boy from Manville was arrested for shoplifting a $15 belt buckle from
Spencers Gifts.
DWI Arrest – March 15, 2009 @ 2306
hours, Jane W. Mwangi, 31, Irvington, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 287
South. Mwangi was stopped on Route 287, after an officer observed her speeding
on Route 22 East. Mwangi was charged with DWI, refusal to submit breath
samples, speeding, failure to maintain a lane and failure to yield to an
emergency vehicle.
Shoplifting
Arrest – March 16, 2009 @ 2036 hours,
Caitlin J. Morey, 27, Berkeley Heights, NJ was arrested for shoplifting $95
worth of jewelry from Lord and Taylor. Morey was charged with shoplifting and
released without bail.
DWI Arrest – March 18, 2009 @ 2240
hours, Pavankuma Bommasamudram, 28, Freehold, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route
22 West. Bommasamudram was observed by an officer traveling the wrong way on
Route 22 West. He was charged with DWI and driving the wrong way.
DWI Arrest – March 19, 2009 @ 0250 hours, Zebbelin Lee
Standish, 21, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 East. Standish
was charged with DWI, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to
maintain a lane and failure to wear a seatbelt.
Shoplifting
Arrest – March 19, 2009 @ 1459 hours, Luis
Rodriguez Monterroso, 27, Bound Brook, NJ was arrested for shoplifting and
possession of shoplifting tools at Target. A Target security officer observed
Monterroso use a box cutter to open the packaging for a $200 Garmin navigation
unit and leave the store. He was charged with shoplifting and possession of
shoplifting tools and released.
DWI Arrest – March 19, 2009 @ 2255 hours, George M.
Liptak, 48, Bound Brook, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 28 following a motor
vehicle crash. Liptak was charged with DWI and careless driving.
DWI Arrest – March 19, 2009 @ 2340 hours, Josef
Rusinak, 24 was arrested for DWI on Route 22 West. Rusinak was charged with DWI,
refusal to submit breath samples and failure to maintain a lane.
Theft – March 20, 2009 @ 1114hours, Ugochukwu O. Okoro,
22, Union, NJ was arrested for the theft of three DVDs at Baker and Taylor on
Route 22 East. Okoro, who was employed as a security guard at the business, was
seen on video surveillance placing the DVDs under his coat. An employee of
Baker and Taylor signed a complaint for theft against Okoro.
Shoplifting
Arrests – March 20, 2009 @ 2000 hours, two
Bound Brook girls, age 13 and 14, were arrested for shoplifting at the
Bridgewater Commons Mall. The girls were found in possession of stolen property
from Macy’s and Claire’s. Both girls were released to their parents.
Drug
Arrest – March 20, 2009 @ 2022 hours, a 16 year
old boy from Basking Ridge was arrested for possession of marijuana at the
Bridgewater Commons Mall. A mall security officer contacted the police after he
located the boy on mall property smoking marijuana. The boy was turned over to
his parents.
DWI Arrest – March 20, 2009 @ 2310 hours, Henry E.
Dorer, 40, Raritan, NJ was arrested for DWI on Riddle Court. Dorer was arrested
after officers responded to Riddle Court in response to a suspicious vehicle
complaint. Dorer was charged with DWI, driving while suspended and consuming
alcohol in a motor vehicle.
DWI Arrest – March 21, 2009 @ 1636 hours, Mark J.
Bogetto, 41, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for DWI on Ronson Road following a
motor vehicle crash. Bogetto was charged with DWI and careless driving.
Theft – March 21, 2009 @ 1702 hours, an employee of
Bath and Body Works reported the theft of six bottles of Wexler Brightening and
Pore Refining Serum valued at $330.
DWI Arrest – March 22, 2009 @ 0221
hours, Paul Montoya, 30, Bound Brook, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 West.
Montoya was charged with DWI, failure to maintain a lane, cell phone use while
driving and failure to signal lane change.

hours, Jason A. Taylor, 27, Martins Creek, PA was arrested for DWI on Route 22
West. Taylor was charged with DWI and failure to maintain a lane.
Theft – March 23, 2009 @ 1203 hours, a resident of
Union Avenue reported a utility trailer valued at $700 was stolen from their
driveway.
Shoplifting
Arrests – March 24, 2009 @ 1616 hours, two
juvenile girls from Hillsborough and Millington were arrested for shoplifting at
Bloomingdales. A store security officer told the investigating officer they
found store merchandise in the girl’s handbags.

Arrest – March 25, 2009 @ 1822 hours, a 17
year old girl from Middlesex, NJ was arrested for shoplifting $90 worth of
clothing from Macy’s.
Theft – March 25, 2009 @ 1915 hours, an employee of
Pearl Vision reported that unknown actors entered the store and stole 12 pair of
glasses valued at $4,100.
DWI Arrest – March 26, 2009 @ 0044 hours, Amber N.
Dabek, 18, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 East following a
motor vehicle crash. Dabek was charged with DWI and careless driving.

Arrest – March 26, 2009 @ 1312 hours,
Xiaohong Yu, 46, Basking Ridge, NJ was arrested for shoplifting $81 worth of
merchandise from Costco.

Arrest – March 26, 2009 @ 1630 hours,
James Ferone, 23, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested and charged with shoplifting at
Target. A Target loss prevention officer told the investigating officer they
had been monitoring Ferone, who was an employee, after they became aware he was
under ringing merchandise purchased by customers. Ferone was charged with
shoplifting and released.
Shoplifting
Arrest – March 27, 2009 @ 1917 hours,
Andrew Stockstill, 22, Warren, NJ was arrested for shoplifting at Macy’s. The
investigating officer reported that a loss prevention officer from Lord & Taylor
initially observed Stockstill in their store steal a $45 t-shirt. The loss
prevention officer then followed Stockstill into Macy’s where their loss
prevention was notified. A loss prevention officer from Macy’s began to watch
Stockwell and observed him steal a t-shirt and vest valued at $109. Stockwell
was taken into custody after a short foot chase involving loss prevention
officers and mall security. Both stores signed complaints against Stockwell for
shoplifting and he was released.

Arrest – March 27, 2009 @ 2105 hours, a 16
year old girl from Ringoes was arrested for shoplifting $142 worth of clothing
from Bloomingdales.

Arrest – March 28, 2009 @ 1314 hours, a 17
year old boy from East Brunswick was arrested for shoplifting $176 worth of
clothing from Lord & Taylor.

Arrest – March 28, 2009 @ 2110 hours,
Pamela Crossan, 42, Hillsborough, NJ and Justyna Szczesna, 21, Hillsborough, NJ
were arrested for shoplifting at Annie Sez. Both women were charged with
shoplifting and released.
DWI Arrest – March 29, 2009 @ 0013 hours, Daniel L.
Barker, Easton, PA was arrested for DWI on Route 28. Barker was charged with
DWI and failure to stop at a stop sign.
Drug
Arrest – March 29, 2009 @ 1311 hours, John P.
Scharloo, 28, Middlesex, NJ was arrested on Foothill Road for possession of
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. During an investigation
Scharloo was found in possession of marijuana and a pack of rolling papers.
Scharloo was released after being processed.
Burglary/Theft
– March 30, 2009 @ 0937 hours, a
landscaping company located on Old York Road reported that two unlocked storage
trailers were entered and seven backpack blowers and one hedge trimmer were
stolen. The owner of the equipment estimated the value to be nearly $4,000.
Theft –
March 31, 2009 @ 1741 hours, an employee of Best Buy
reported that someone was able to remove a Macbook computer, valued at $1,800,
from a display and leave the store undetected.
