  Theft – October 1, 2008 @ 1309 hours, a resident of Marshalls Creek, PA reported their 2003 Ford Ranger was stolen from the parking lot of Baby’s R Us.  The victim reported that they had left the vehicle unlocked with the ignition key in the glove box.

  Identity Theft – October 2, 2008 @ 1227 hours, a resident of the Martinsville section of Bridgewater came to police headquarters and reported their identity had been stolen.  The victim told the investigating officer someone had used their personal information to secure a personal loan 

  Drug Arrest – October 2, 2008 @ 1740 hours, Nancy Boyd, 50, Califon, NJ was arrested for Possession of Marijuana on Route 22 West during a motor vehicle stop.  Boyd was stopped for illegal window tint and she was found in possession of two marijuana cigarettes.  Boyd was released after being charged with Possession of Marijuana under 50 Grams and Illegal Window Tint.

  DWI Arrest – October 2, 2008 @ 2243 hours, Kimberly J. David, 39, Metuchen, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 East.  David was charged with DWI, Refusal to Submit Breath Tests, Littering and Failure to Maintain a Lane.

  DWI Arrest – October 3, 2008 @ 0147 hours, Philip H. Geiger, 25, Hillsborough, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 202/206 South.  Geiger was charged with DWI (Alcohol and Drugs) and Failure to Maintain a Lane.

  DWI Arrest – October 3, 2008 @ 1126 hours, Gerald M. Wisniewski, 49, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for DWI on North Bridge Street.  Wisniewski was charged with DWI and Failure to Inspect.

  Theft – October 3, 2008 @ 1406 hours, a construction company working at the Bridgewater Commons Mall reported the theft of a Lincoln Tig Welder valued at $2,000.

  Shoplifting Arrest – October 3, 2008 @ 1504 hours, Anthony W. Ferguson, 41, Winchester, VA was arrested for shoplifting three boxes of Prilosec and one box of Zantac from Wegmans.  The medication was valued at $83.

  DWI Arrest – October 4, 2008 @ 0240 hours, Kenneth Ruggirello, 44, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 West.  Ruggurello was charged with DWI, Failure to Maintain a Lane and Failure to Exhibit a Registration Card.

  Criminal Mischief – October 4, 2008 @ 0246 hours, a resident of Hillsborough reported that while driving on Route 22 West near Chimney Rock Road an unknown actor threw an object at their vehicle and smashed the front windshield.

  Drug Arrest – October 4, 2008 @ 1906 hours, David S. Edwards, 19, Hillsborough, NJ was arrested for possession of marijuana at the Bridgewater Commons Mall.  Edwards was located in possession of marijuana by a mall security officer.  He was charged with Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and released.

  DWI Arrest – October 4, 2008 @ 2140 hours, Godfrey A. Onyinkwa, 29, Jersey City, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 202/206 South.  Onyinkwa was charged with DWI and Failure to Maintain a Lane.

  DWI Arrest – October 5, 2008 @ 0204 hours, Bonnie K. Chambers, 53, Upper Black Eddy, PA was arrested for DWI on Finderne Avenue.  Chambers was charged with DWI, Failure to Maintain a Lane, Failure to Signal a Turn and Failure to Wear a Seatbelt.

  Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card – October 6, 2008 @ 1653 hours, a resident of Foothill Road came to police headquarters and reported their credit card had been used fraudulently in Little Falls and Clifton.  The fraudulent purchases totaled $483.

  Arrest/Shoplifting – October 8, 2008 @ 1724 hours, a Warren township juvenile was arrested for shoplifting a $6.00 pair of earrings from Claire’s located in the Bridgewater Commons Mall.

  Arrest/Shoplifting – October 8, 2008 @ 2016 hours, a juvenile resident of Flemington and two juveniles from Lebanon were arrested for shoplifting at Macy’s in the Bridgewater Commons Mall.  The juveniles were observed by store security concealing $1,195 worth of jewelry and clothing before exiting the store.

  Burglary/Theft – October 9, 2008 @ 1643, a resident of Greensboro, NC reported their 2005 BMW M3 was burglarized after they left it in the parking lot of an office building located at 1130 Route 22 East.  Entry was gained into the vehicle by punching out the driver side door lock.  Assorted personal documents were reported stolen from the vehicle.

  Criminal Mischief – October 9, 2008 @ 2156 hours, an employee of UPS, located on Chimney Rock Road, reported criminal mischief to their 1995 Plymouth van.  The victim reported to police that an unknown substance was poured onto his vehicle causing the paint to peel off.

  Burglary/Theft – October 10, 2008 @ 1222 hours, a resident of Cliffwood Beach reported a burglary and theft from their 2002 Ford Taurus while it was parked at Best Buy located on Commons Way.  The suspect smashed the driver’s side window and stole a navigation unit and iPod from the vehicle.  The stolen items were valued at $490.

  Burglary/Theft – October 10, 2008 @ 1239 hours, an employee of Best Buy located on Commons Way reported a burglary and theft from a 2005 VW Beetle owned by the store.  The suspect smashed a window on the vehicle and stole a navigation unit valued at $300.

  Burglary/Theft – October 10, 2008 @ 1254 hours, a resident of Middlesex reported a burglary and theft from their 2005 Kia Optima while it was parked at Best Buy located on Commons Way.  The suspect smashed the driver’s side window and stole a navigation unit and iPod from the vehicle.  The stolen items were valued at $540.

  Burglary/Theft – October 10, 2008 @ 1302 hours, a resident of Teaneck, NJ reported a burglary and theft from their 1999 Toyota Camry that was parked at an office complex located at 440 Route 22 East.  The actor entered the vehicle by smashing a window and removed a navigation unit and cell phone.

  Arrest – Theft/Theft of Services – October 10, 2008 @ 1635 hours, Jennifer Bailey, 29, Middlesex, NJ was charged with theft and theft of services from Splash Salon and Spa located at the Bridgewater Commons Mall.  Bailey who was employed by the business is accused of falsifying her time card in order to be paid for hours she did not work.  She is also accused of using a gift card she did not purchase to buy beauty products.

  Theft – October 10, 2008 @ 1943 hours, Victoria’s Secret located at the Bridgewater Commons Mall reported the theft of $1,459 worth of perfume from a display shelf.  The store manager reported to police 31 bottles of perfume was stolen.

  DWI Arrest/Assault by Auto – October 11, 2008 @ 0930 hours, Juan G. Mejia-Rodriguez, 24, Bound Brook, NJ was arrested for DWI following a hit and run accident in the intersection of Finderne Avenue and East Main Street. Mejia-Rodriguez was located on Promenade Boulevard by a Bound Brook officer after he fled the scene.  Due to an injury suffered by a passenger in the vehicle Mejia-Rodriguez struck he was charged with a disorderly person offense of Assault by Auto.  He was also charged with DWI, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Crash, Failure to Report a Motor Vehicle Crash, Failure to Exhibit Motor Vehicle Documents and Careless Driving.  He was released pending court.

  Theft – October 11, 2008 @ 2124 hours, a resident of Neshanic Station reported the theft of their purse while they were shopping in Macy’s.  The purse contained personal items and $200 in cash.

  Drug Arrest – October 11, 2008 @ 2302 hours, Debra Luise, 41, Somerville, NJ and Rick Rivella, 41, Plainfield, NJ were both arrested for possession of crack cocaine on Finderne Avenue during a motor vehicle stop.  The vehicle that was being operated by Luise was stopped when the arresting officer observed Rivella not wearing a seatbelt.  During a search of the vehicle, suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia were located.  Luise was charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released.  Rivella was also charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

  DWI Arrest – October 11, 2008 @ 2339 hours, Robert B. Goedesky, 41, Edison, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 East.  Goedesky was released after being charged with DWI, Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, No Liability Insurance and Failure to Maintain a Lane.

  Drug Arrest – October 11, 2008 @ 2345 hours, Anthony Dibella, 48, South Amboy, NJ was arrested for drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia on Route 22 West.  Dibella who was a passenger in a motor vehicle that was stopped for a motor vehicle violation was found in possession of marijuana and a pack of rolling papers.  Dibella was released after being charged with Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

  Burglary/Theft/Criminal Mischief – October 13, 2008 @ 0524 hours, a employee of Anderson Trucking Service 22 Van Veghten Drive reported a burglary and theft to the business.  Two laptop computers were reported stolen from the business.

  Shoplifting Arrest – October 14, 2008 @ 1254 hours, Valmore E. Mullings, 59, Plainfield, NJ was charged with shoplifting at Lord and Taylor.  Mullings who was an employee of Lord and Taylor at the time of his arrest, was observed by store security allowing an acquaintance of his to take merchandise they did not purchase.  This occurred while the acquaintance was purchasing other items.  Mullings was charged by Lord and Taylor with Shoplifting (by under ringing) and released.  The acquaintance was not charged by Lord and Taylor at the time of the report.

  Theft – October 14, 2008 @ 1422 hours, an employee of Abercrombie and Fitch, located in the Bridgewater Commons Mall, reported the theft of 50 long sleeved t-shirts valued at $2,000 from a display rack.

  Burglary/Theft – October 14, 2008 @ 1701 hours, an employee of the Hilton Garden Inn, located on Promenade Boulevard reported a burglary and theft to their 2000 Nissan Quest.  The victim told the investigating officer an unknown actor smashed a window on the vehicle and stole a Toshiba laptop computer valued at $2,000.

  DWI Arrest – October 15, 2008 @ 2117 hours, William J. Marhold, 55, Raritan, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 East.  Marhold was charged with DWI and Failure to Maintain a Lane.

  Recovered Stolen Vehicle – October 16, 2008 @ 0243 hours, an officer on patrol located a stolen 1999 Chrysler Cirris in the parking lot of Applebee’s.  The vehicle had been reported stolen to the Clifton Police Department.  No one was in the stolen vehicle when it was located.

  Shoplifting Arrest – October 16, 2008 @ 1635 hours, Hueimei Browne, 53, Flemington, NJ was arrested for shoplifting at Macy’s located in the Bridgewater Commons Mall.  Browne was observed by store security concealing jewelry and clothing valued at $567 in her purse.  Browne was released after being charged with Third Degree Shoplifting.

  Shoplifting Arrest – October 17, 2008 @ 1731 hours, Desiree Godleski, 26, South Bound Brook, NJ was arrested for shoplifting $32 of merchandise from Costco.

  DWI Arrest – October 17, 2008 @ 0208 hours, Karen A. Janusz, 41, Manville, NJ was arrested for DWI on Finderne Avenue.  Janusz was charged with DWI, Failure to Observe a Traffic Signal, Failure to Maintain a Lane and No Liability Insurance.

  Burglary (Attempted) – October 19, 2008 @ 1659 hours, a resident of Greenbrook reported an attempted burglary to their 2000 Audi S4 while it was parked at the Bridgewater Commons Mall.  The suspect punched a hole in the driver’s door and was able to unlock the vehicle.  Nothing was reported stolen from the vehicle.

  Theft – October 19, 2008 @ 2109 hours, a resident of Middlesex reported the theft of a purse.  The victim told the investigating officer that while attending a wedding at the Bridgewater Manor someone stole their purse.  The purse contained personal items which included an Apple I-phone valued at $550.

  Drug Arrest – October 20, 2008 @ 1030 hours, William J. McCarthy, 19, Somerset, NJ was arrested for drug possession on Grove Street.  McCarthy who was stopped for not wearing a seat belt was found in possession of marijuana.  McCarthy was released after being charged with Possession of Marijuana under 50 Grams, Possession of Drugs in a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Wear a Seatbelt.

  Criminal Mischief – October 21, 2008 @ 0920 hours, a resident of Bridgewater had a window smashed on their 2002 Ford Explorer while it was parked at the Bridgewater Train Station.  Nothing appeared to have been stolen from the vehicle.

  DWI Arrest – October 20, 2008 @ 2305 hours, Leah E. Nau, 20, Far Hills, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 202 South. Nau was charged with DWI, DWI while under age, Speeding and Failure to Maintain a Lane

  Theft – October 23, 2008 @ 1707 hours, the store manager for Abercrombie and Fitch located in the Bridgewater Commons Mall reported the theft of 17 shirts valued at $680 from a display shelf.

  DWI Arrest – October 24, 2008 @ 0221 hours, Theodore C. Todorov, 32, Manville, NJ was arrested for DWI on Finderne Avenue.  Todorov was charged with DWI, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples, Failure to Maintain a Lane and Failure to use Directional Signal.

  Theft – October 24, 2008 @ 1606 hours, a representative of the Martin Luther King Youth Center located on Prince Rodgers Avenue reported a theft.  A portable Fender Public Address System valued at $1,400 was stolen from the center.

  Shoplifting Arrest – October 24, 2008 @ 1911 hours, Kristen Kuczynski, 25, Somerset, NJ was arrested for shoplifting at Macy’s.  Kuczynski was accused of shoplifting over $450 worth of jewelry.  She was released after being issued a complaint signed by Macy’s security.

  Shoplifting Arrest – October 25, 2008 @ 1753 hours, Feng Sun, 42, Basking Ridge, NJ was arrested for shoplifting at Costco.  Sun was observed by Costco security concealing a video game, two DVD’s and a Quicken CD in his coat.  The stolen merchandise was valued at $147.  Sun was released after he was issued a complaint signed by Costco security.

  DWI Arrest – October 26, 2008 @ 0055 hours, Timothy Bridge, 46, Bushkill, PA was arrested for DWI on Union Avenue.  Bridge was charged with DWI, Failure to Maintain a Lane and Impeding the Flow of Traffic.

  Burglary/Theft – October 26, 2008 @ 1059 hours, an employee of Wegman’s reported a burglary and theft from their 2005 Acura TL while it was parked in the Wegman’s parking lot.  The suspect entered the unlocked vehicle and stole a navigation unit and an iPod video unit.  The stolen items were valued at $549.

  Arrest/Theft by Deception – October 26, 2008 @ 1739 hours, Evan Goldin, 20, Bound Brook, NJ was arrested for theft by deception at Target located in the Bridgewater Promenade.  Goldin who was employed by Target at the time of his arrest, was accused by store security of fraudulently putting $60 on a gift card and using the gift card for his own benefit without paying for the card.  Goldin was charged with theft by deception and a complaint was signed by Target Security.

  Burglary/Theft – October 29, 2008 @ 2306 hours, a resident of Old York Road reported that two of their vehicles that were left unlocked in the driveway were burglarized.  A radar detector was stolen from one of the vehicles.

  Burglary – October 29, 2008 @ 2356 hours, a resident of Bradley Lane reported that someone had entered two of their vehicles that were left unlocked in their driveway.  Nothing appeared to have been taken.

  Drug Arrest – October 30, 2008 @ 0006 hours, Frank J. Scarponi, 19, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for drug possession during a traffic stop on Route 22 East.  Scarponi was charged with Possession of Marijuana under 50 Grams, Possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and Provisional License Violation.

  Burglary/Theft – October 30, 2008 @ 1733 hours, a resident of Old York Road reported a burglary and theft from their vehicle that was left unlocked in their driveway.  Stolen from the vehicle was a navigation unit.

  DWI Arrest – October 31, 2008 @ 0211 hours, Dennis L. Roberts, 20, Bound Brook, NJ was arrested for DWI on Milltown Road.  Roberts was charged with DWI, DWI while underage, Driving While Suspended, Reckless Driving, Speeding, Failure to Stop and Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle.

  Criminal Mischief – October 31, 2008 @ 0618 hours, an employee of the Days Inn reported to police that someone scratched and burned a pile of leaves on the hood of a 2006 Infiniti Q6 owned by the Days Inn.
