  Shoplifting Arrest – September 29, 2008 @ 2100 hours, Linas Arenas, 18, Phillipsburg, NJ and a juvenile from Phillipsburg were arrested for shoplifting at Lord and Taylor located in the Bridgewater Commons Mall.  Arenas had two cashmere sweaters in her handbag, valued at $209, when she was stopped by store security.  The juvenile had a pair of jeans, valued at $80,in her handbag when she was stopped by store security.

  Criminal Mischief – September 29, 2008 @ 1647 hours, a resident of Whitehouse Station came to police headquarters and reported their 2007 Lincoln Navigator was damaged while it was parked at the Green Knoll Grille.  The victim told the investigating officer someone had scratched the passenger side with an unknown object.

  DWI Arrest – September 28, 2008 @ 0219 hours, Kyei Baffour, 42, Hillside, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 West.  Baffour was charged with DWI, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples, Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Maintain a Lane, Uninsured Motorist and Failure to Signal a Turn.

  Shoplifting Arrest – September 27, 2008 @ 1822 hours, two Bridgewater juveniles were arrested for shoplifting at Spencers located in the Bridgewater Commons Mall.  The juveniles shoplifted approximately $127 worth of merchandise.

  Burglary/Theft – September 27, 2008 @ 1331 hours, a resident of Somerset reported a burglary and theft from their 2006 Honda Civic while it was parked at Costco.  The police investigation revealed that the victim had lost their vehicle keys somewhere on Costco property.  The suspect apparently found the keys and entered the locked vehicle and removed a purse.  The purse and its contents were valued at $1,410.

  DWI Arrest – September 26, 2008 @ 2303 hours, Styshon U. Walker, 34, Edison, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 West.  Ms. Walker was charged with DWI, Speeding, Failure to Maintain a Lane, Failure to Signal a Lane Change, Open Container of Alcohol and Failure to Wear a Seatbelt.

  Arrest- Simple Assault/Disorderly Conduct – September 26, 2008 @ 0259 hours, Philip H. Geiger, 25, Hillsborough, NJ was arrested at police headquarters for Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct.  Geiger, who had been arrested earlier in the evening for DWI, was arrested a second time while he was being released to a family member.  Geiger was arrested for disorderly conduct after he went into a profanity laced tirade while being released.  The charge of simple assault resulted when Geiger tried to shoulder a police officer down a flight of stairs while being escorted back to the processing room.

  DWI Arrest – September 26, 2008 @ 0132 hours, Philip H. Geiger, 25, Hillsborough, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 202/206 South.  Geiger was charged with DWI, Failure to Yield at an Intersection, Failure to Maintain a Lane and Failure to Exhibit Documents.  Geiger was also charged with Resisting Arrest.  While being arrested on Route 202/206, Geiger pulled his wrists to his chest and would not allow the arresting officer to place him in handcuffs.

  DWI Arrest- September 26, 2008 @ 0005 hours, Robert J. Brandes, 38, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 28 West.  Brandes was charged with DWI, Refusal to Submit Breath Tests, Speeding, Failure to Maintain a Lane and No Liability Insurance.

  Shoplifting Arrest – September 25, 2008 @ 1846 hours, a juvenile resident of North Plainfield was arrested for shoplifting at Macy’s.  Store security officers observed the juvenile place $132 worth of merchandise in a bag and exit the store.

  Drug Arrest – September 24, 2008 @ 2336 hours, Matthew Stevens, 20, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for possession of marijuana at the Spring Run Swim Club.  Stevens was found at the swim club after hours.  He was charged with Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams.

  Shoplifting Arrest – September 24, 2008 @ 1934 hours, Megan Clawges, 18, Somerset, NJ was arrested for shoplifting at Macy’s.  A store security officer found $157 worth of merchandise in her possession, that she had not paid for, after she exited the store.

  Criminal Mischief – September 24, 2008 @ 1740 hours, a resident of Ardmaer Drive reported someone scratched the driver side of their 2000 Mercury Sable while it was parked in their driveway.

  DWI Arrest – September 20, 2008 @ 2140 hours, Darnell L. Thigpen, 35, Raritan, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 East.  Thigpen was charged with DWI and Failure to Maintain a Lane.

  Shoplifting Arrest – September 20, 2008 @ 1610 hours, a 14 year old from Rockaway, NJ was arrested for shoplifting a Guess t-shirt and an INC hooded sweatshirt, valued at $95, from Macy’s located at the Bridgewater Commons Mall.

  Burglary/Theft – September 20, 2008 @ 0947 hours, a resident of Carlene Drive reported a burglary and theft from their Chrysler Town and Country.  The victim’s social security card and a credit card were stolen from their wallet that was left in their unlocked vehicle.

  DWI Arrest – September 20, 2008 @ 0245 hours, Janell L. Bledsoe, 23, Warren, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 East following a motor vehicle crash.  Bledsoe was charged with DWI. 

  Theft – September 19, 2008 @ 2022 hours, an employee of the Bridgewater Commons Mall reported the theft of their $500 I-phone.  The employee told the investigating officer they put the phone on the front counter and went to assist a customer.  When the employee went to get the phone it was missing.

  Identity Theft – September 19, 2008 @ 1956 hours, a Milltown Road resident came to police headquarters and reported the theft of their identity.  The victim reported that an unknown person used their personal information to open a bank account.

  Drug Arrest – September 19, 2008 @ 1937 hours, David C. Camaiore, 20, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia at his residence.  Police had responded to his residence in reference to a smoke detector activation and a possible structure fire.  Upon the arrival of the police, officers found the smoke alarm had been activated by burnt food on the stove.  Camaiore was found asleep in a bedroom where the marijuana and paraphernalia were also found.

  Theft – September 19, 2008 @ 1335 hours, a resident of Horsham, PA reported to police that while attending a meeting at the Marriott Hotel on September 9, 2008, someone stole their Dell laptop from a conference room.  The laptop and its accessories were valued at $1670. 

  Burglary/Theft – September 18, 2008 @ 1615 hours, a resident of Madison Avenue reported a burglary and theft from their 2003 BMW.  The victim reported to police the vehicle was parked unlocked on the street in front of their residence.  A camera, valued at $250, and $20 in cash were stolen from the vehicle.

  Arrest Hindering Apprehension – September 18, 2008 @ 0800 hours, Jeffrey V. Lange, 39, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for Hindering Apprehension.  Lange was charged after it was learned that he had provided his brothers personal information during a motor vehicle stop.  The police report indicated that Lange’s driving privileges were suspended at the time of the motor vehicle stop.

  Theft – September 18, 2008 @ 0728 hours, a resident of Plymouth, Maine reported to police they left a backpack unattended in the bar located at the Marriott Hotel on Commons Way.  When the backpack was returned, the victim found that $225 in cash, a GPS navigation unit and an Apple I-pod were missing. 

  Arrest - Driving Under the Influence While Underage – September 18, 2008 @ 0012 hours, Dale E. Artfitch, 20, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for driving under the influence while underage on Bridgewater Avenue.  Artfitch was charged with Driving Under the Influence while Underage, Consumption of Alcohol in a MV and Failure to use a Directional Signal.

  Criminal Mischief – September 15, 2008 @ 1742 hours, a Bridgewater Commons Mall employee reported that someone wrote on the hood of their vehicle in black marker.

  Criminal Mischief – September 15, 2008 @ 1727 hours, an employee for Somerset County Transportation reported they were operating a bus on Finderne Avenue near the Van Veghten Bridge when a subject threw a rock at the bus.  The rock struck and cracked the windshield.

  Burglary/Theft – September 15, 2008 @ 0902 hours, a resident of Madison Avenue reported a burglary and theft to their 2007 GMC Yukon.  The victim told the investigating officer their vehicle was left unlocked and a GPS unit valued at $450 was stolen.

  Arrest/Shoplifting – September 14, 2008 @ 1826, two juveniles from Piscataway were arrested for shoplifting $164 worth of books from Borders Books located on Commons Way.

  Drug Arrest – September 14, 2008 @ 0048 hours, Stanley Zimmerman, 18, Bridgewater, NJ and Emily Cortese, 21, Bound Brook, NJ were arrested after they were found loitering in Shady Lane Park after the park had closed.  Zimmerman was charged with Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams and Loitering in a Park after hours.  Cortese was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Loitering in a Park after hours.

  Theft - September 13, 2008 @ 1308 hours an employee of Victoria’s Secret, located in the Bridgewater Commons Mall, reported the theft of approximately 90 pairs of underwear.  The underwear, valued at $675, was located on a display counter in front of the store.

  DWI Arrest – September 13, 2008 @ 0357 hours, Paul Bogatschuk, 46, Bernards, NJ was arrested for DWI at Bridgewater Police Headquarters.  Bogatschuk was arrested after he arrived at police headquarters to pick up an individual who had been arrested earlier in the evening.  Bogatschuk was charged with DWI.

  DWI Arrest – September 12, 2008 @ 2212 hours, Paul Liscinski, 28, Bound Brook, NJ was arrested for DWI on East Main Street.  Liscinski was charged with DWI and having a loud muffler.

  Auto Theft – September 12, 2008 @ 1958 hours, a resident of Kenilworth reported the theft of their 1996 Acura Integra from the Bridgewater Commons Mall.

  Theft – September 12, 2008 @ 1552 hours, an employee of Pet Smart, located in the Bridgewater Promenade, reported the theft a tool used to place sales tags on merchandise.  The price gun was valued at $3,000.

  Burglary/Theft – September 12, 2008 @ 0723 hours, an employee of Unity Electric reported the theft of two spools of insulated copper wire from a construction site located at 765 Route 202.  The wire, valued at $10,000, was stored in a locked container inside a fenced area.  The fenced enclosure was cut and the container was pried open allowing the actor to remove the wire.

  Theft – September 12, 2008 @ 0240 hours, a resident of Greenbrook came to police headquarters and reported their wallet had been stolen while they were at the Green Knoll Grille.

  DWI Arrest – September 12, 2008 @ 0017 hours, Mark G. Ceralde, 29, Warren, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 East.  Ceralde was charged with DWI, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples, Improper Window Tint and Failure to Exhibit Documents.

  Drug Arrest – September 10, 2008 @ 1729 hours, Gregory Ducore, 20, Westfield, NJ was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Route 22 West.

  Burglary/Theft – September 10, 2008 @ 1312 hours, a burglary and theft to a 1998 Chevrolet Corvette was reported.  The Corvette was parked at Metlife(501 Route 22 West).  The actor smashed the driver side window and stole the glass roof from the vehicle.

  Burglary/Theft – September 10, 2008 @ 0645 hours, a resident of Stratford Place reported a burglary and theft from their 2007 Mazda.  The vehicles front driver side window was smashed and a navigation unit valued at $100 was stolen.

  Identity Theft – September 8, 2008 @ 1527 hours, a resident of Spring Run Lane responded to police headquarters and reported their credit card number was used to make a fraudulent purchase in Missouri.  The victim told the investigating officer that the credit card was recently activated and she was using it for the first time when she learned it had been used without her knowledge.

  Theft – September 8, 2008 @ 0826 hours, a contractor installing fencing at Nap Torpey Park (Somerset County Park located at the end of Nimitz Street) reported the theft of 12 rolls of fence.  The value of the fence was reported to be $1850.

  Burglary/Theft – September 7, 2008 @ 1922 hours, a resident of Hillsborough reported a burglary and theft to their 2006 BMW while it was parked at the Bridgewater Commons Mall.  The only items taken from the vehicle were a registration and insurance card.

  Burglary/Theft – September 7, 2008 @ 1816 hours, a resident of East Brunswick reported a burglary to their 2004 Nissan Maxima while it was parked at the Bridgewater Commons Mall.  A woman’s handbag and sunglasses were stolen from the vehicle.

  Attempted Burglary/Criminal Mischief – September 7, 2008 @ 1634 hours, a Basking Ridge resident reported that someone tried to burglarize their 2003 BMW while it was parked at the Bridgewater Commons Mall.  The handle and lock to one of the vehicles doors was damaged. 

  DWI Arrest – September 6, 2008 @ 0045 hours, Robert T. Derflinger, 46, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for DWI on Morton Street.  Derflinger was found with his vehicle after it had become disabled on Morton Street.  He was charged with DWI.

  Burglary/Theft – September 4, 2008 @ 1430 hours, a resident of Dow Road reported a burglary to their 2002 GMC Envoy and 2007 Mercedes.  The victim advised police both vehicles were left unlocked and a cell phone and navigation unit were stolen.

  Lewdness Arrest – September 4, 2008 @ 1417 hours, Robert T. Zabawa, 39, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for Lewdness.  An individual reported to police that they observed Zabawa masturbating while sitting on a bench in Harry Ally Park.

  Burglary/Theft – September 4, 2008 @ 0930 hours, a resident of Country Club Road reported their 1995 Honda Accord and 2003 Nissan Maxima were burglarized.  A cell phone and navigation unit was reported stolen.

  Burglary/Theft – September 4, 2008 @ 0647 hours, a resident of Juniper Lane reported a burglary to their 1999 GMC.  The victim reported to police that their unlocked vehicle was entered and a garage door opener was stolen.

  Drug Paraphernalia Arrest – September 4, 2008 @ 0128 hours, David Cardinale, 20, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested during a traffic stop for possession of drug paraphernalia.  A glass pipe used for smoking CDS was found in his possession.

  Arrest/Theft by Deception/Bad Checks – September 3, 2008 @ 1615 hours, Traci Snyder, 31, Hillsborough, NJ was arrested for Third Degree Theft by Deception and Third Degree Bad Checks.  Snyder was charged after a check she issued to Glamour Shots at the Bridgewater Commons Mall was returned by the bank as “unpaid.”  After being contacted by an employee of Glamour Shots, Snyder returned the photos she had purchased.  The employee reported to police that Snyder did not return all the photos she was given.

  DWI Arrest – September 3, 2008 @ 2336 hours, Deborah J. Chimel, 42, East Brunswick, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 22 East.  Chimel was charged with DWI and Failure to Maintain a Lane.

  Recovered Stolen Vehicle – September 3, 2008 @ 1511 hours – a 1992 Honda Accord that was reported stolen in Clifton, NJ was located in the parking lot of Target.

  DWI Arrest – September 1, 2008 @ 1911 hours, James F. Mason, 32, Colonia, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 206 South.  Mason was charged with DWI, Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, Driving While Suspended and Failure to Maintain a Lane.  Mason was released after posting $750 for a Contempt of Court warrant out of the Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
