  DWI Arrest – September 1, 2009 @ 1840 hours, Kyle S. Uhler, 20, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle crash on Walters Brook Drive.  Uhler was charged with DWI, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash, failure to report a motor vehicle crash and failure to keep right.

  Simple Assault – September 2, 2009 @ 1941 hours, Desiree A. Castro, 29, Somerville, NJ was arrested for simple assault following an incident at Wendy’s.  Castro is accused of hitting another woman in the face with her purse.  Castro opened the passenger side door of the other woman’s car and struck her in the left temple with her purse.  The assault apparently resulted after the two woman argued about the other woman’s driving.  Castro was charged with simple assault and released.

  DWI Arrest – September 3, 2009 @ 0015 hours, Randal S. Kelco, 19, Flemington, NJ was arrested for DWI on East Main Street.  Kelco was charged with DWI and DWI while underage.

  Shoplifting – September 3, 2009 @ 1751 hours, Pamela Lampley, 52, Newark, NJ was arrested for shoplifting at Bloomingdales.  A loss prevention officer observed Lampley conceal three pairs of jeans valued at $770 under her clothing and leave the store.  Lampley was charged with third degree shoplifting, criminal mischief and possession of shoplifting tools.  Lampley was lodged in the Somerset County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail with a 10 percent option.

  Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card – September 4, 2009 @ 1418 hours, a resident from Stella Drive came to headquarters and reported their credit card had been used without their authorization.  The investigation lead to the arrest of Christopher Caldara, 39, Washington, NJ.  Caldera is accused of obtaining the victims credit card information while he worked for a company in Branchburg.  He then used the victim’s credit card information to pay fines he had incurred from traffic tickets.  Caldera was charged with credit card theft and two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.  He was released without bail. 

  Shoplifting – September 5, 2009 @ 1833 hours, Holger Inga-Ortega, 30, was arrested for shoplifting at Macy’s.  A store loss prevention officer observed Inga-Ortega select $120 worth of clothing and exit the store without paying.  Inga-Ortega was charged with shoplifting and released.

  Simple Assault – September 5, 2009 @ 2233 hours, Stephanie Barber, 23, Bridgwater, NJ was arrested for simple assault following an incident on Milltown Road.  Police were called to the residence at the request of the homeowner.  The homeowner told police Barber had assaulted her and her son.  During the investigation, Barber became combative and spit on an officer.  Barber was arrested and charged with two counts of simple assault.  She was lodged in the Somerset County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

  DWI Arrest – September 6, 2009 @ 0218 hours, Ross A. Gerber, 18, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle crash on Garretson Road.  Gerber was charged with DWI, careless driving, using a cell phone while driving and provisional license violation.

  Shoplifting – September 6, 2009 @ 1343 hours, Irvin Brownstein, 67, Basking Ridge, NJ was arrested for shoplifting cigars at Costco.  A loss prevention officer observed Brownstein open a box of cigars and place four of the cigars in his pocket.  Brownstein was charged with shoplifting and released.

  DWI Arrest – September 7, 2009 @ 1947 hours, Enzo Fimognari, 44, Bedminster, NJ was arrested for DWI on Route 202/206.  Fimognari was charged with DWI and reckless driving.  He was also charged with a disorderly persons offense of driving with a minor passenger while DWI because he had his two children in his vehicle.

  Burglary/Theft – September 9, 2009 @ 0424 hours, a resident of Schindler Terrace reported their home was burglarized and an Ipod and laptop computer was stolen.  The investigation revealed the suspect apparently entered the residence the previous evening through an unlocked door and stole the items.

  Theft – September 11, 2009 @ 1212 hours an employee of The Home Depot, located on Promenade Boulevard, was arrested for theft.  Loss prevention conducted an investigation involving fraudulent returns by an employee and determined that

Austin T. Smoot, 19, Plainfield, NJ made over $2,300 in false returns.  Smoot was charged with third degree theft and released without bail.

  DWI Arrest – September 12, 2009 @ 0025 hours, Susan F. Bailey-Hill was arrested for DWI on Route 202 South.  Bailey-Hill was charged with DWI and careless driving.

  Shoplifting – September 12, 2009 @ 1055 hours, Virginia Frampton, 44, Queens, NY was arrested for shoplifting at Costco.  A store loss prevention officer observed Frampton remove a cosmetic item from its package and place the item in her pocket.  Frampton was apprehended as she left the store.  She was arrested, charged with shoplifting and released.

  Burglary/Theft – September 12, 2009 @ 1034 hours, a business located on Washington Valley Road reported a burglary and theft.  The owner of the business reported $1,300 was stolen.  There were no signs of forced entry into the business and it is still unknown how the suspect gained entry.

  Shoplifting – September 14, 2009 @ 1035 hours, Gus Campisano, 69, Bridgewater, NJ was arrested for shoplifting at Costco.  A store loss prevention officer observed Campisano conceal two bottles of vitamins in his pants pocket and exit the store without paying.  Campisano was charged with shoplifting and released.

  Shoplifting – September 15, 2009 @ 1439 hours, Iris R. Logan, 60, Somerset, NJ was arrested for shoplifting $370 worth of compact disks and DVD’s.  A loss prevention officer observed Logan place the items in a bag and exit the store without paying.   Logan was charged with fourth degree shoplifting and released without bail.

  Shoplifting – September 29, 2009 @ 1626 hours, Leyla Alfaro, 36, Manville was arrested for shoplifting $40 worth of merchandise from Costco.  A loss prevention officer observed Alfaro conceal the merchandise in her purse and exit the store without paying.  Alfaro was charged with shoplifting and released.

  Shoplifting – September 30, 2009 @ 1246 hours, Alina Zgrajewicz, 55, Manville was arrested for shoplifting $58 worth of meat from Costco.  A loss prevention officer observed her conceal the meat in her purse and exit the store without paying.  Zgrajewicz was charged with shoplifting and released.

  Theft – September 30, 2009 @ 1307 hours, Carlos Roman, 52, Bridgewater was arrested for a theft that occurred in the parking lot of Wegman’s.  Roman is accused of coaxing a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel through the open window of a parked vehicle.  After leaving with the stolen dog, Roman dropped the dog off in a parking lot in Raritan.  The dog was recovered unharmed and returned to its owner.  Roman was eventually identified as the suspect and arrested.  He was charged with third degree theft and lodged in the Somerset County Jail on a detainer from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
