Bridgewater Police Seek Help To Identify Suspect

Authorities are asking the public's help in identifying a
suspect in a sexual assault on a 5-year-old girl inside a Bridgewater
restaurant on May 22.
According to Acting Somerset County Prosecutor A. Peter
DeMarco Jr., at approximately 12:20 p.m. May 22 an unknown male wearing a
white shirt sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl inside the restaurant,
which has not been named by authorities.
The suspect is described as an
Asian/Indian male, about 16 to 17 years old. In addition, the suspect, who
said his name was Joey, may possibly have a mental illness and/or a form of
autism.
A second person was with the suspect and
may be a counselor or guardian. He is described as a white male in his
approximately early to late 50s.
After leaving the restaurant, the two
subjects left the area in a silver vehicle.
