July 24, 2023 - Burglary and Theft Arrest

Bridgewater, NJ - Bridgewater Township Police Chief John B. Mitzak announced the arrests of Daniel Enrique Garcia Delgado, age 29, Miami, Florida; Diego Fernando Amando Olorte, age 31, Everett, Washington; Johan Javier Real Sarmiento, age 29, Fort Collins, Colorado and Brayon Alexander Perez Rojas, age 29, Hialeah, Florida, in relation to burglary and an attempted burglary to two residences in the township.


Chief Mitzak stated while officers were investigating an attempted residential burglary in the Finderne Area, they were alerted by LPR technology, for a stolen vehicle that was wanted for residential burglaries in another state. Officers were able to locate this vehicle in the vicinity of Walters Brook Drive and quickly determined that an additional vehicle along with three additional suspects was actively engaged in a home burglary in the area. Three suspects fled the burglary on foot and all were apprehended near Vanderveer Road.


On Friday, July 21, 2023, the following were arrested and charged:


Daniel Enrique Garcia Delgado, 3rd degree, Burglary (2 Counts), 3rd degree, Conspiracy to commit Burglary, 4th degree, Receiving Stolen Property, and a Disorderly Person Offense, Possession of Burglary Tools.


Diego Fernando Amando Olorte, 3rd degree, Burglary (2 Counts), 3rd degree, Conspiracy to commit Burglary, 4th degree, Receiving Stolen Property, and a Disorderly Person Offense, Possession of Burglary Tools.


Johan Javier Real Sarmiento, 3rd degree, Burglary, 3rd degree, Conspiracy to commit Burglary, and a Disorderly Person Offense, Possession of Burglary Tools.


Brayon Alexander Perez Rojas, 3rd degree, Burglary (2 Counts), 3rd degree, Conspiracy to commit Burglary, 4th degree, Receiving Stolen Property, 4th degree, Resisting Arrest and a Disorderly Person Offense, Possession of Burglary Tools.


All suspects were lodged in the Somerset County pending a detention hearing.


The Bridgewater Township Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department and the Raritan Borough Police Department, along with citizens near the area of the burglary.

Note: The charges are merely an accusation and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
