June 23, 2020 - Chimney Rock Drowning

Bridgewater, NJ - On 06-22-20 at 3:05pm, The Bridgewater Police Department was dispatched to the Chimney Rock Reservoir for a possible drowning. Officers arrived on scene and learned from witnesses that the victim, Michael Woskey (37 years old from Somerville, NJ), jumped off one of the cliffs and began to swim across the reservoir. While he was swimming he began to struggle. Witness lost sight of him and called 911 for help. The Somerset County Dive team arrived and began to search the water for Woskey. Due to darkness, the search was called off at approximately 9:15 pm and resumed at 8:00 am on 06-23-20. With the assistance of the New Jersey State Police Marine Unit and their sonar equipment, Woskey was located at approximately 1:40 pm.
