The Bridgewater Police Department was dispatched to Maple Street at approximately 12:43PM on the report of an attempted abduction of a 3 year old child. Approximately 30 minutes had elapsed between the time of the alleged attempt and the time the police were notified of the incident.


The caller advised that he observed a male standing in his driveway, while the 3 year old was in the backyard surrounded by a fence. The caller observed the male in his driveway and yelled to him. At that time, the male walked away and got into a gray or silver mini-van, no further description.


Police have reviewed home surveillance video near the area of the incident. At this time there is not enough information to substantiate the allegation.
